American Idol runner up, David Archuleta’s self-titled debut album sold 183,000 copies during the first week of its release and debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart according to Nielsen Soundscan data. His debut sales were even higher than that of the sixth season runner-up Blake Lewis, who sold 98,000 copies of his debut album, “Audio Day Dream” the first week it was released, debuting at No.10.
