Even though the American Idol judges called the competition for David Archuleta during the finale performance show, it was David Cook who came out on top on American Idol 7. However, some fans on the American Idol message boards are already speculating that David Cook didn’t really want to win American Idol.
After Ryan Seacrest announced that
David Cook was the winner of American Idol 2008, David Cook closed his eyes and leaned his head back. Some viewers took David Cook’s expression to look like he was thinking, “Oh no, I actually won this thing.” As David Cook hugged fellow finalist David Archuleta, his face showed no excitement over winning the competition. Was David Cook just showing respect for David Archuleta’s feelings or was he not happy about winning?
